Open House Events

Before heading over to the Oyster Fest on Saturday, November 17 come by and say hi to us at two fantastic homes for sale. David is hosting an Open House at 34893 Bay Crossing Boulevard in Lewes from 11am-2pm. The community is 55+ with lawn maintenance, snow removal, swimming pool, and a club house. It is a former Blenheim Dory Model on a premium wooded lot with a walkout basement. it shows just like the day it was finished.

Joe is hosting an Open House at 25672 Kiawah Path from 12pm-2pm. The home is located in the Sawgrass at White Oak Creek community in Rehoboth Beach. It is a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home with 2358 absolutely gorgeous square feet. It is also a former model home with a ton of after construction upgrades including hardwood throughout, a dry bar, large windows in the master suite, upper and lower sundecks. I’ve been on this upper deck many times. Each time the view takes my breath away. You can see the Rehoboth Bay and at night time the sunsets are amazing.

Rehoboth / Dewey Oyster Fest

This Saturday, November 17 we will have the inaugural Rehoboth / Dewey Oyster Fest from 1PM to 4:30PM. Tickets can be purchased in advance at IDewey (click here) for $15. After the first $100 ballots are sold the rate goes up to $25.

10 restaurants in Rehoboth and Dewey Beach are participating and each will prepare a sample for ballot holders. The event is sponsored by Dewey Selects, which is the first oyster farm in the Rehoboth Bay. I had them this past Saturday at Fins Ale House and they are pretty amazing!

Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival

Well that’s a wrap. The Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival finished on Sunday, November 11. We didn’t get a chance to see as many films as we would have liked. We did get to see The Lavender Scare, which was excellent. It’s a documentary narrated by Glenn Close detailing the real life witch hunt that saw the firing of thousands of gay lesbian employees inside the U.S. government. The Lavender Scare started in conjunction with McCarthy’s Red Scare and lasted 40 years. We wanted to see Studio 54, but it was sold out. I heard it was amazing. That is definitely on our must see list now. Even though the festival is over for this year, the Rehoboth Beach Film Society runs independent films all year long at the Cinema Art Theater off Coastal Highway in Lewes.
